Trial into Maradona's Death Postponed

The new trial into the circumstances of the death of Argentine football legend Diego Armando Maradona in 2020 has been postponed by a month and will be held in mid-April. The trial, which was scheduled to begin on March 17 in San Isidro (north of Buenos Aires), has now been set for April 14. The number of weekly sessions has been reduced from three to two, unless the court decides otherwise. Seven members of the medical team who were in charge of Maradona, from a doctor to a psychologist and nurses, will be tried to determine whether there was negligence. The decision to postpone and reduce the schedule was announced on Wednesday by the presiding judge in order to reduce the number of witnesses.
